A contribution in the Global Compact International Yearbook deals with fundamental issues of the sustainability debate: the limits to green growth and technological innovations, the preconditions of societal transformation towards sustainability, the complexity of human motivation, the underrated ambitiousness of the long-term goal in the Paris Climate Agreement. During the last years, the Research Unit Sustainability and Climate Policy has done a lot of research on questions of phosphorus and scarcity of natural resources, as well as on land-use and climate change - from a transdisciplinary point of view. The Research Unit Sustainability and Climate Policy has done a lot of research on the normative grounds of sustainability - respectively on the theoretical basis of both ethics and law. The most informative is the big German volume "Theorie der Nachhaltigkeit", but there is also a number of English papers. See, among other papers, here.
Since 2007, Felix Ekardt has given speeches and presentations on some 60 international conferences on questions of sustainability, climate change, justice, human rights, phosphorus scarcity, land-use, etc. For details and also for forthcoming speeches, see the list of presentations.
In the course of this month, four studies for different government authorities on the above-mentioned subjects in some different versions - in English and German - will be published (also) on this homepage, see e.g. here.

In the following we would like to give you an overview of how we guarantee the protection of your personal data when accessing our website and what types of personal data we process for what purposes and to what extent. When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information ("server log files") may include the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar information. In addition, the IP address is transmitted and used to use the service you request. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the content you have requested from websites and is mandatory when using the Internet.
Contracted data processor of our website is the provider Greatnet.de GmbH, Stromstraße 1-5, D-10555 Berlin. Greatnet.de stores the log file data over a period of three months to detect and analyze any attacks. All details on order data processing can be found in our contract with Greatnet.de. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 f) GDPR.
When receiving our occasional circular e-mails, only the e-mail address is stored; we do not have a database with further information such as name, institution, postal address or the like. Invoices to clients, in particular for studies or presentations that must contain this information, are taken from the Internet or inquired about from the client; invoices issued are generally stored and subsequently deleted by us for seven years, as are tax-relevant documents, but are not used for any other purpose during this time. Social media plugins, integration of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, web analysis and cookies are also not practiced or used by us.
